Question
My husband admits to feeling emotionally shut down. During our recovery process he has cried very little. Says that he just can't. We read an article that addressed emotionally unavailable men and he agreed that he fit in more than half of the categories addressed in the article. When I cry and am upset he tries to comfort me, but his lack of a true emotional response makes it very difficult for me to see that he understands any of the emotions I am feeling. Is this normal? Why does he not cry? How can a person that says they love you so much see your pain and remain cold faced?
