Question:

One thing that seems to be holding me back is being able to fully forgive my wife's affair partner. He was a guy that I considered a friend. He's also someone that is in the field of counseling families. That tells me that he obviously knew exactly what he was doing in attempting to break up our family as they were making plans for their future together. Though my wife and I are in the process of reconciliation, one of my big hang ups is anger at him. I know that forgiving him is a big part of my healing, but regardless of my attempts, the anger always seems to come back out of nowhere. Since I obviously can't talk to him, do you have any suggestions on forgiving someone you can't work through things with?
