Question:

Thanks for the resources on forgiveness, it is extremely helpful and makes so much sense. I am convinced with both the vertical and the horizontal forgiveness. In my case, I am the betrayed spouse and the affair partner happens to be a family member, I have forgiven her in my mind but reconciliation has not occurred and it seems impossible. Now I am not clear as to how I should behave in a situation, which may arise sometimes, when she and her family happen to be in the same space as me and my family. Her husband and children try to normalize the relations with my family but I do not want to and have been avoiding this and certainly I do not want my husband to keep any relations with them either. I am really confused and not at peace about this. Is this about getting stuck in unforgiveness? Is this pride? How do I create boundaries around this relationship? And is it fair to create these boundaries ? Am I being self-centered here?
