Question:

My husband is conflict avoidant and a procrastinator. He won't take the initiative to read or watch videos to get instruction and help. I told him I don't see any desire from him to improve himself and our marriage. I have sent him emails with links for Focus on the Family and Hope Restored website and bought him books but he wont do anything. He is old fashioned stubborn. I ask him to do something and he finds an excuse not to. Like you can't tell me what do. But if someone else tells or asks him the same thing he listens to them. His dad does the same thing. He is a negative thinker and it shows in his words. When we have a disagreement he is scornful and has a pitty party. Says he can't do anything right. I think he has this poor me attitude to avoid addressing my deep hurt. What do I do?
