I understand that there are many reasons one might choose to become involved in an affair. My spouse says that he and his AP fought very often, and that he enjoyed being able to call her and unleash his anger. He describes this when I ask what he got from the affair. To me, his answer seems incomplete as he had also described her as his best friend. What inferences could you make about the type of affair this was based on that information? I realize it's limited, but there would never be enough space for me to fully give all of the information. Thank you.
