Question:

My spouse (the betrayed) has told me she is often feeling irritable when I am around because she is always upset with me at some basic level for the betrayal. I notice it almost every day, and it is hard on both of us for those feelings to constantly be there. She does not rage or express her anger verbally or physically, but it comes out as impatience and a challenging attitude that keeps me at a distance. Does this low-level feeling of being upset and irritated with the betrayer ever fully go away? I know human emotion is normal and fluctuates, but this feeling of irritability seems to be a constant.
