My affair lasted only six weeks before D-Day and I was found out. It was intensely emotional in nature but we also met for coffee, lunch, and on the last meeting we kissed. It did not not go physically further than that and the entire affair was honestly PG. Now, almost 4 months later, I'm still suffering emotionally and feel heartbroken and lonely for my AP. He has cut off all contact. I was at the very height and peak of limerence, I realize now. My husband is ready to move on and I'm the one still the one lingering. How long will this last? Will my feelings come back for my husband? Is it worse or more difficult for an affair to end in this early heightened stage, in terms of healing? Shouldn't I be over it by now?
