Sex has become nothing more than the physical act with my spouse and I worry it sends the message that we are doing good in our recovery. Is it appropriate to abstain from sex until safety and emotional intimacy have been established? I do not feel safe right now due to recent lies, defensiveness, just wanting me to just get over it.
