Hi. My spouse left me for his Affair Partner. We have been married for 20years. I miss him and am devastated and disappointed by his behavior. We're separated but it’s very painful to not have him in my life. It's been 5 Months since D-Day. After boot camp he left. I find myself wanting to communicate with him. I know he can't help me heal from my grief, but how much should I stay in contact with him? I find it’s hard to not call and reach out. He has started drinking and said it's getting more so to deal with his guilt. What is the relationship supposed to look like now? My heart and head are in different places. I have compassion for his guilt and I am in harboring hope for my loss. Is it best to let go or call once and awhile?
