I find it difficult to understand the difference between pleasing and enjoying. I need some rubber-meets-the-road scenarios...real examples of how that works. Also, I don't understand how to embrace differences and disappointments. Sounds masochistic to me. Please give me some examples of this too. I'm coming from the betrayed side and I am a black and white person.
