What about EMSO after HH and H4H?

My husband has nearly completed the H4H course and I have completed HH. We are finally able to talk and offer one another some degree of forgiveness. We aren't sure if taking EMSO might keep us mired in the pain of the affair (and face triggers again) when we are both feeling like we are making progress. Perhaps we should give it a month or two after the end of August to reassess when the H4H course is over. Do people take the courses in that order and, if so, under what circumstances? We would really appreciate your thoughts on this. Thank you!
