Question:

My husband's AP still works in his office building and in his field. Much of their affair was conducted at work. They both have promised me that they would not speak and they have broken this twice since D-Day. While they are no longer speaking now and he promises me that when he sees her, all he is reminded of is the pain he caused, he does still see her in the hallway and at events a couple times a week. This is really painful for me. He says he doesn't make eye contact. He says he keeps walking. He reports to me when he sees her. Sightings cause triggers for me that can cause me to sink deep into a depression for the entire evening, if not more. Unfortunately, switching jobs for the field he is in takes time and may even require a major move, of which I don't think, is the best step for our family and children as we are still very much in crisis and I feel like we need to stay close to our support network. How can I feel safe about him going to work? Is it too much to ask him to temporarily switch fields so we can stay in town and stay safe? I am very tempted to speak to his AP again and ask her to maintain the promised boundary. Feeling angry. Feeling depressed. Feeling so sad at the comprehensiveness of destruction this affair has caused.
