Question:

My husband's affair partner was 35 years younger than me. Before the affair, I could look in the mirror and think I was holding up quite well for age. Now, I keep seeing the image of him with that rosey, firm, young flesh, and feeling hideous about myself. He is not saying these things. Just when I look in the mirror, I feel nauseous, like "who could possibly be attracted to that?" I have literally had to cover up the bathroom mirror to not see myself naked. We are 18 months post D-day. How do I get over this?

Thank you for pointing out the beauty in the strength betrayed wives have in extending mercy and doing the hard and painful work of reconciliation. What AP would do the same, indeed!
