Question:

I understand the importance of not being defensive about the infidelity or betrayal, and about triggers related to the betrayal, but does that extend into every aspect of our lives? If we have an argument about something not related to betrayal, I am often scolded if I have a different opinion. I am accused of being defensive and not empathetic and not caring about her needs. Am I not able to ever offer an opposing idea or argument now? Please help me understand this.
