Hi Rick, Could you explain the difference between a sexual compulsion and an addiction? My therapist first told me I had a sexual addiction then he changed it to a sexual compulsion, now he is calling it a compulsion / addiction. I am in a support group dealing with addictions and will probably be the rest of my life. My addiction has been with on line chat rooms and on line acting out which eventually lead to an in person physical affair. I have been doing this on and off for 15 years of our 32 year marriage. How would you classify me and my behaviors? Our discovery was December 22, since then we have been doing individual counseling, we completed EMSO and I am planning on signing up for Hope for Healing because I still have so many unanswered questions.
