Question:

My husband had a three year affair and trickle-truthed the entire time. The affair partner has contacted me with details as well as had her boyfriend call. We had to obtain a cease and desist order and she chose to abort. Pretty much everything my husband could do he admits to doing, including verbal, emotional abuse, and turning to alcohol. Ours kids are age 13 to 5, we have 6. He has since had another near miss and a relapse into pornography. Now, the affair has become extremely public, as he prescribed non controlled medications after being involved with her for a year. The board has suspended his license, and every small detail of that affair is on the front page of every paper. We have never hit ground zero, just lies and public reversal of lies. During this process I'm reading personal details, I really feel the need to have a detailed account due to the public nature. It's heartbreaking to read details in the newspaper or have somebody come up to me and discover yet another lie. I avoid comparison questions but I need a great level of detail in this situation, understanding it's going to cause more thoughts but I don't see another way. I need to get to ground zero, he's not been cooperative up until this point.
