Question:

While I know I am dealing with my own pain from being the betrayed, I also see that my husband is in pain. He has very negative self-talk, cannot sleep well and his health is deteriorating. I'm feeling the pressure of being the strong one because I've always been the "glue" in our relationship but I'm resentful that he isn't giving me all I need to heal. This is the way our relationship has operated for most of our 34 years together; I've always made it about making him happy. I seem to be moving forward in terms of healing but he isn't and I feel like I'm going to get stuck in the same role. I want him to care for me at this season in our life and I don't want to return to the lonely marriage we had before the infidelity. Any advice?
