My spouse has been unfaithful with two different affair partners. He brought the children to social gatherings where the first affair partner met them, and even brought my infant son to a going away party after the affair was ended so she could meet him, even though he felt terribly guilty during the affair for risking our son’s life by having protected sex with her while I was pregnant with him. With the most recent affair partner, he shared photos of the kids and told her about their lives. I was pregnant during this affair too, and I’m sure he showed pictures of the baby as soon as she was born. He continued to send pictures of the kids to her after D-day but before the affair was ended, and during a relapse of the affair. They were together for a week, and I saw text messages showing he sent her pictures of the kids during that time. Why on earth did he do this? The kids are his biggest motivators for trying to heal and he is doing work toward reconciliation. But why would he have shared them with his affair partners? Especially the babies, whose lives he endangered? I already can’t understand why a woman would sleep with a pregnant woman’s husband, but how do you think these women felt after our baby was born? I don’t know if they were trying to steal the kids as well as my husband. I’m so confused by this aspect of our story.
