Question:

My husband and my best friend who lives a few houses away had an affair and she is pregnant. The baby is due next month. They had a prenatal DNA test and its 99% it's my husband’s kid. When I found out I asked my husband to leave and we are now separated. I don't think there will be any reconciliation between us. On the other hand her husband has decided to stay with her and keep his family together. We have 4 children and they have 5. Our children were best friends and went to school, church, Boy Scouts, Sunday school and vacations together. As you can imagine this has turned all of our lives upside down. Our children know what has taken place as they were all aware something was very wrong but didn't know what. At this point I am so angry and hurt from the betrayal from both of them. I still can't believe they did that and I should have seen the red flags but trusted them 100%. I have to decide whether moving 6 hours to closest family or staying here will be the best thing for my children and me. My oldest girls are twins and they will start HS the following year and really don't want to move. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 13 years and have let my teaching certificate expire. I don't have a job at the moment until I meet the requirements which I am working on. Having to drive past their house every day and seeing her pregnant self or the kids outside playing when my kids can't go there anymore is incredibly painful. Will this pain ever let up over time or will seeing this constantly keep us all from healing????
