The affair partner was someone I have known closely and had feelings towards for over 20 years. It was a deeply emotional affair and we had gone through alot during our time together. From the death of her mother to a horrible accident of her brother (my best friend) which has left him paralyzed, to terminating her pregnancy in order to save my marriage. Since D-day I have severed all ties with her and solely focused on recovery. I love my wife and am 100% sure she is the one I want to be with. My excessive attachment and desire to be with the affair partner are gone, but some feelings still remain. Considering everything that took place between us, I am not sure if I can ever feel "indifferent" towards her. My wife absolutely can not tolerate there being even a small corner of my heart having a place for her, or me having any fond memories of her.Sections: Rick's Q & A timeRick's QuestionsRL_Category: Breaking Off The AffairFor the Unfaithful SpouseQ&A Recovery LibraryRelapse PreventionSafety in RecoveryRL_Media Type: Video
