Question
I am the wayward husband and have a sex addiction. I am really struggling with identifying my feelings and then being able to communicate them to my mate. I want so bad to break through this barrier but I've already identified a few things that are getting in my way. When I try to share I sense that she is angry and I internalize that to mean that what I am doing is wrong, or that I am wrong. What I have found is that I don't trust anyone to open up my heart and I fear criticism and rejection. I also have a limited range of feelings, I either love or I hate and something is either good or it is bad. The truth in love exercise is helpful, but I have such an underdeveloped sense of emotions and feelings and I'm wondering if you have any suggestions on a way to understand them better and express them to my mate in conversation without getting overwhelmed and fighting.
