I am the unfaithful. I was molested for some time when I was in elementary school at home by my "Grampa." I also grew up watching my stepdad physically abusing my mom; dragging her by the hair, slapping her, and pushing her. I grew up ashamed and angry. I learned how to not care and be emotionless. I feel that it was the same state I was in when I cheated on my wife. Could it be a result of my childhood trauma? Or am I just a bad person that chose to do wrong willingly? I don’t want to hurt my wife any more. What are your suggestions for me to prevent myself from hurting her? Should I just give her the divorce that she wants?
