Question:

My husband had a 9-month affair with a mutual friend. We live in the same neighborhood and still attend the same church which has been really hard for all of us. On D-day (last December), she texted me to apologize. We actually texted back and forth for a couple of weeks. I asked for details about what had happened and, at the time, I felt she was a source of honest information. We decided that we didn't want our boys to be adversely affected by the infidelity, so they have remained friends. Her boys are often at my house and mine are often at hers. Since those first few weeks, our texts have been limited to "Will you send so-and-so home?" But this week I received a text from her requesting that we sell our house and move. I realize this is an impossible situation. How do I handle this? How should I have been handling it all along?
