Question:

I have seen a lot of information about the betrayed seeking revenge in order to punish their spouse, however, I have not seen anything on the wayward spouse punishing the betrayed. My husband told me that he had acted out with one night stands to punish me for the resentment and anger he had build up towards me over the years. He was unsafe for a very long time so I avoided bringing it up as it hurts me a lot to think about it. I do believe that he was honest when he said it and I feel that it is one of the things that I am struggling to let go of. We are in week11 of EMSO, it's been 16 months since D-Day 1 and 1 year since D-Day 2.
