Question:

I can't get over the ultimate betrayal and how stupid I feel that I didn't catch him sooner. When we first got together, he told me his ex-wife always had tabs on him. Asking him where he was if he was late. She was jealous when a young girl came to their house in short shorts. He would always harp on how she wasn't adventurous and always had something HealthWise wrong with her. Which also led too little to no sex life for him at home. She constantly nagged him to clean and help around the house. The list goes on. So, when I came into the relationship, I just kept my mouth shut and when I felt uncomfortable, I just ignored my fear and kept on truckin. I allowed him the freedom he supposedly never had. But he didn't want that freedom. He was always asking me to do this and that with him. Spend more time together. Sometimes I missed a workday because he wanted to be together. If he was having an affair to get some sort of thrill or feeling from that person why did he constantly want my attention too? Do you think he was grooming me so he could finally have a physical affair with his new affair partner since I didn't ever ask where he was or who he was with even who was calling him? He also tells me that he didn't think it was a big deal since we weren't married yet - just engaged. Do you think he would've stopped after we were married had I not discovered it?
