What are your thoughts on contacting the AP on behalf of your spouse? As in, you've gone through EMSO, your spouse has maintained no contact for over 8 months, but has been struggling on a daily basis. You're just waiting for them to relapse out of desperation for contact or "closure", so you'd rather contact affair partner yourself than to have your spouse put you through the pain of another relapse. Would you ever recommend contacting affair partner to quickly "check in" and give your spouse peace of mind and prevent a relapse? As it is, things were left hanging with the affair partner, just cold turkey stopped responding to texts after a 6 month long distance emotional affair with an ex boyfriend, and maybe a quick update would give all parties peace of mind. What do you think?
