Question:

My infidelity has caused my wife significant regression in her self-esteem. In addition to working through the damage from the affair, one of her biggest concerns is that because of the affair and the constant reminder of me, the unfaithful spouse, she will never achieve full self actualization if I am in her life. She sees betrayed spouses talk about how their marriage is better that it ever has been after recovery but never about how their own self esteem and self worth is better than it ever has been. What is the likelihood of a betrayed spouse achieving self-actualization if they stay with their unfaithful spouse?
