Question:

I am having a really hard time with the assignment of the Art of Listening. My spouse is an addict, and his mindset, and way of thinking is so bizarre, and half of the time it feels like it is the addiction talking, and not my spouse. How I am I supposed to try to gain perspective of a thought process that is so far out there that no one else but another addict can understand? I don't think that the "addict's mind" is a creation of God, and I am having a hard time working with narcissistic/addict side that sees only themselves.
