Question: 

Would you talk about how you have seen depression on the part of the wayward play into infidelity, especially how it affects them in recovery? And if there is time, how might a betrayed spouse respond appropriately?

But how is the betrayed supposed to handle this? It’s hard to be graceful when it’s still all about them. My UH was still struggling with shame/ guilt and unable to support me in dealing with my pain and recovery and now he is depressed and that makes him even more unable to be a support system for me. In fact I need to be his support system, to walk on egg shells and to tread carefully so I don’t trigger him. This is almost too much too handle while still still trying to deal with recovery from infidelity.
